Our Story

From a Basement Venue to a Community Tradition

Founded in 2016, The Singer’s Lounge began in a small basement venue called River City Blues. What started as an intimate gathering for music lovers quickly grew into something much larger. By the third show, attendance had increased so dramatically that the venue could no longer accommodate the crowds.

That growth led The Singer’s Lounge to Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC), where it built a loyal following, consistently attracted sold-out audiences, and established a reputation for delivering unforgettable live music experiences centered around community, culture, and exceptional talent.

Today, The Singer’s Lounge continues to showcase local and regional Soul and R&B artists while creating meaningful connections between artists, audiences, and the community through the power of live music.
